3. Viewing Test Results

While LoadUI NG is running a load test, it collects data on the service performance. You can see the collected data in the Global Metrics graph, in the TestSteps Metrics table and on the Statistics page.

Load Page

The Global Metrics graph shows how various performance metrics of your target web service change over time. Examine the VUs/s (the number of users arriving to the server each second), Time taken (time taken for each request), TPS (transactions per second) and BPS (bytes per second) metrics to find out how your target service performs.

The TestSteps Metrics table contains performance values of individual TestSteps, such as the maximum and minimum time it took to simulate each of them.

To view and check other statistics of your test runs, switch to the Statistics page (you need a LoadUI NG Pro license for this. Feel free to request a trial on our web site).

Note: You can also configure server monitors and analyze the server metrics on this page.

Let's add a graph that will display the number of requests sent per second:

  • Click .
  • In the Add Statistic dialog, select Scenarios | ScenarioName | Scenario Statistics | Test case runs | Per Second and click OK.

    Add Statistics Dialog
Note: You can enter Test case runs in the Search field to quickly find the needed statistic.

That is all. LoadUI NG will add the new graph to the Statistics page. You will immediately see the number of requests sent to the target web service each second.

Statistics on Requests

Note: If you ran several tests, select the needed one from the Run dropdown list. By default, LoadUI NG stores the results of the last 5 runs.
Run dropdown list

If your test is still running, you will see the statistics updating in real time to reflect new simulated requests.
